Battery dimensions

I've been looking but cant find it.

Does anyone know the dimensions on the original eq. battery (gel) for a 2012 Heritage (softail) ?

There are good replacement but the dimensions may be different.

I thought it was normal - the first crank sounded like it didn't have enough oomph to crank it, but then it would turn and fire. I thought it had something to do with the timing advance however, after just less than 3 years this one didn't have the stuff to turn it over enough to fire. And that was after being off the battery tender for less than 24. It did fire up after 2 hrs on the tender.

And as an after thought, during the starting technique does it matter if you turn the ignition switch first or the run switch first. I always wait for the fuel pump light to go off before hitting the start switch.

Thanks,
Joe

Any of the big battery stores that sell by the motorcycle year and model instead of battery number, have the dimensions on the spec. sheet. Brand to brand will vary a slight amount.

No matter on switch sequence when starting. Just give enough time for the self diagnostics. Eng. light turning off is a good indicator.
