It can certainly be done, but I'm not sure you want the extra load on the headlight circuit. Much better to find an accessory connection, or make one, using a relay driven off the light circuit, powered from the battery.

i have a 2004 heritage.
i wanna install gps on windshield. Leader Motorcycle GPS Windshield Mount (for Harley Davidson)
i would like to wire it from the headlight because it would be powered when key is on only.
i wanna connect it using a battery (sae) wiring harness ..
then a battery connector to usb converter from amazon.

then plug in cable from covverter to gps..

I don't see any problem with current draw, as the GPS is only a tiny amount.hi:

You could just run it all the way to your battery. It'll cost a little more but with less plugs to worry about disconnecting.

yes, there is one on right side, but missing the toggle..do you mean a owners manual or repair manual or something like that?..Spotlights, could be accessory. Is there one on the other side? Get yourself a good manual, you'll love yourself for it.
