Changed out the battery in my 2011 Electra Glide Ultra last week, I replaced the Harley battery with a Interstate battery, now I am told that if I don't put a Harley back in there I will start having problems with the bikes electrical stuff, was just wandering if any body else has done this before and if you had any problems with it.

As long as its the same physical size & CCA rating you should be good to go. Lots of people don't go with the HD branded battery and have lived to tell about it. I'm one of them :)
not true at all. Most people I know do not run HD Batteries. As with all HD parts/accessories u pay for the name. I run Yuassa in mine simply B'cuz they r on the cheaper side and my indy shop stocks them, so no wait. Never had an electrical problem, besides one cause b human error during shipping to FL one time. That ended that, I ride up and down now, n luv every mile of it!!!
....and I would believe that someone makes the 'HD' battery anyway.....could be the same company....

Pretty sure that would be Deka.
It is Deka. AKA East Penn Mfg. They're the OEM for HD, BMW, and Mercedes, among others. Pretty sure they're also the originators of the AGM battery, but could be wrong on that.

A little Cliff Claven FACTOID for the thread, there are only two battery manufacturers left in the US: East Penn and JCI (Johnson Controls).
Probably should be battery manufacturer Owners. Parent companies on paper of several brands.
Unless they have switch suppliers, H-D uses Deka.
was the battery you replaced a AGM battery or a Standard acid battery I don't know but Doe's Interstate make a AGM battery ??
Interstate makes a direct replacement, AGM battery to fit the Ultra. Its not WHO makes it, its WHAT they make.

You'll have no more electrical issues using an AGM interstate battery than you would handling issues because you didn't swap you winter air out and put summer air in.

YUASA batteries are manufactured in the USA (maybe they are owned by East Penn....).

Had my OEM battery on my 09 FLHRC replaced 5/3/13, so 4 years riding with that battery, the reason for replacing it was there was a 2-3 second delay when ever I pressed the starter after a 15 mile trip, first I checked all grounds nice and tight there, to save some money cuz dealer battery was $160 last year, I bought a BIG CRANK from Battery Mart ETX30L 400CCA for about $90 WOW was that a mistake, Friday 7/25/14 the same stuff is happening, Saturday was in Monroe,WI, hit starter button nothing at all, hit button again this time it started, no warranty on Big Crank 14 months, went to dealer got a OEM battery for $166.25 with my 10% off email, so went riding yesterday what a difference not even a 1/10 of a second delay, you guys can preach about I saved this and it is the same as that BUT THE BOTTOM LINE is you get what you pay for! I learned my lesson, $256 for 2 batteries within 14 months and both have 12 month warranty

Flapper04. Next time buy a Deka. They make the batteries for HD. You`ll get the same battery, unbranded, and save some $$.

Have had very good luck with Yuasa too. Real easy to find and good quality at decent prices.

Also sounds like the relay may be sticking a little. But a fresh properly charged battery has enough umph to un-stick it.
no relay sticking, unless the new ones you buy stick a little, that was replaced last year before buying a battery and then removed and original put back until Saturday, then I put in the new relay, then nothing when pressing start button in WI that afternoon with new relay.
