The stock Harley clutch performs well. Just be careful if you go to a "heavy duty" or "performance clutch," if it has a heavier spring that the stock clutch. I know one guy who did this and he was barely able to pull the clutch lever in. His hand would cramp up so bad that he paid the shop to take the "heavy duty" clutch spring out and install the stock Harley spring.

Well what I can tell you is. I went with a Barnett extra plate clutch kit. The pull was hard and what happened to me is. The extra late combined with the stronger spring actually pulled the retaining ring out of the pressure plate. The shrapnel took out the clutch basket.



Went with the Barnett scorpion clutch and have never looked back
