I like chrome too, but I'm probably older than most of you. Black may be new wave and it can look good. I'm just nuts about lots of chrome. Get what you like. You'll know it when you see it. You don't need anyone else's approval, but your own.

Cheers

I just put some black Rush 2.0 mufflers on a SG, The ceramic coating is top notch and they are easy to wipe off. I like the look, I like chrome too so a little back and a little chrome I think looks good.

I'm torn between the two. My last bike (top) looked more bad ass in black. Current one (bottom) has more bling. Like the looks of them both although I do miss the sound of the Thunderheaders.

Ive run this exhaust for probably 10 years now.

No problems with black burning off, and it doesn't turn blue either!
No heat shields required to cover up any of that ugly stuff.

Is it true what they say - When you go black you can never go back? I just want to know before I commit.

Over 40k on my black pipes (CFR), still black, no noticeable bluing.

Just make sure you're buying quality pipes, knew a guy that got some cheap black, and they looked like sh*t within a year.

I like chrome for the exhaust.
I had a buddy w\ black pipes on his softail and they faded pretty fast.
This was a few years ago and maybe finishes have gotten better...
