getting ready to do my 10k service on my 09 road king classic myself, but one thing puzzles me about changing the brake fluid, it has ABS can you add new fluid and pump lever till clean fluid comes out bleeder without needing the digital technician ll that in the manual says you need, or just do 10k and have dealer change fluid, has anyone changed their brake fluid on a ABS without the digital tech?

You can do the change but your ABS light will be on until the dealer turns it off.

What I don't know is if the ABS just plain doesn't work during this time.
I have also seen posts on here where as the bars have been changed and new lines were needed so changing the brake fluid was needed and there was no light after the bleeding was done guess its a hit or miss weather a dealer would be needed.

I have changed the bars on my SG with abs and had to get a new brake line. Pulled the main fuse before I started work and didn't put it back in until I was completely done. No abs light and abs works fine.
Very nice lookin scoot there bagerboy.

thanks for the info I'll try that, not changing any brake line so there should be no air in the lines, just changing fluid.
If you're putting in the top and pumping out the bottom shouldn't have an issue.
While bleeding and then closing the bleeders cycle the ignition to run the ABS pump. The pump primes when the ignition comes on and that should keep the system free of air.
