Broken Turn Signal Advice

So today I changed the grips on my 2014 Superlow 1200T. While i had the switch housing loosened I decided to also swap the stock turn signal caps with the extended caps... (Black Turn Signal Extension Caps-71500177 | Switches & Housings | Official Harley-Davidson Online Store) First install went ok, but the left side not so much, I broke the bottom pin that holds the cap in the housing. It's not too bad, the cap stayed in and operates once I screwed the housing together. Nobody else would probably even know it was broken, but I do and it bugs me. I don't really know what I need to buy to fix this problem. I looked online but all I found was the housing but that's not what the cap snaps onto. Anyone had this problem that might be able to give mw some advice? Thanks

If your hell bent on fixing it (not sure i would be for somethin so minute... ) but i'd say on your next oil change or service at the stealership (if you go there) see what they think would be the cheapest way to repair. Might require purchase of a new part... not sure. Again may not be cost effective for such a detail... your call though!

How do you like that new superlow? heard good things... got any pics?
Thanks damager, I don't think I'm going to do anything now about it. I've been riding the bike and it doesn't show any signs of the bottom tab being broken. It functions just like the other signal. As far as the bike, I love it. I'm very happy with my purchase. I live in NY and I don't travel out of the state or on any real long rides anymore due to a bad back. I bought the Superlow because I'm only 5'7" so the bike fits me well. I also like having the bags and windshield since I run errands on the bike. All in all, so far, the bike exceeds my expectations. It took me a while to get used to the engine feedback I get (vibration) since this is my first Harley, but now I don't know how I lived so long without it. My previous bikes have all been Yamaha. Here is a pic. Since this pic was taken I've added the engine guard and new grips... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=284668345059656&set=o.20060875764&type=1&theater

I doubt that very much 2edgesword. You know a lot more than you give yourself credit for
hey.....have you fixed the switch? I have the same issue now....and want to know if you could find out the solution...

THx
If the pin on the switch is broken, you'll have to replace the switch.

No and to be honest I forgot all about it. It's been awhile since I posted that. I just screwed the thing back together and it's been fine ever since. The housing holds it in place even with the broken pin. If you want to fix yours I think the best thing is to go to the dealer and ask the parts Dept. what you would need to buy. You can't find all the parts online. Some stuff you need to buy from the dealer.

I am thinking to buy an used switch kit from ebay and replace some part only. i will keep my original signal switches and housing but use only the inside part from the buying..

Is that your broken switch? Mine wasn't broken like that. I only have a broken pin inside the housing. I think if you can buy a used switch on eBay that would be a smart way to go.
Yes....I bought used part from ebay, and installed during the weekend...the ****inx seller sold me broken pin part but I could fixed with plastic, crazy glue as shown at picture....
