Leather Gear Source

Not real sure this goes in recommended products,
Hope giving a satisfied customer referral on a company is OK.

This outfit got rave reviews on V-Rod forum and it turned out
to be VERY well deserved. Top qualiy leather gear DIRT cheap.

I was suspicious the quality could be good, but no more.
Great return policy. After the first order they give a 10% discount card
on future orders and then you're hooked.

I've got 2 top of the line HD brand leather jackets and a pair of HD chaps,
probably totaled over $1000, so I can compare this stuff to 1st quality, and
it is just slightly lacking in some costly feature, like zip open air venting,
but the weight and quality of the leather and workmanship is right on par,
my favorite heavy jacket came from these guys $89 before discount

I've got lots of black leather gear, works great, lasts a long time, the old standard.
Just got the urge to have brown, just to be different.

with Thanksgiving 15% special discount code #101027 (till Nov27)
Just ordered what I expect will be
best quality jacket, chaps and vest for $208 total w/ shipping

http://www.leatherup.com/

Also check out the leather overpants for $90 before discount.

Ride Report: better than chaps for the cold, leather over-pants.

Rode about 100 miles yesterday, it was 38 when I left, and pretty windy.

Neither of my bikes have any protection for my legs, it was the first time to test my newly arrived leather over-pants, and they worked very well. I wore jeans w/ UnderArmor's coldGear long johns under, maybe a bit over dressed for 40'ish but it was 36 when I started getting ready.

My hope is to be able to wear these over-pants down to high 30's w/o needing long johns, so I can avoid the hassle of removing them at work. Haven't proved that yet.

The leather over-pants are made a bit lighter than heavy chaps but you couldn't sit comfortably in pants made any heavier, they are as easy to put on and take off as chaps, and significantly warmer.

I am so damned frugal, getting something I'm surprisingly pleased with for MUCH less than I'd have expected to pay almost makes me giddy. These were under $90. You'd pay more than that for fabric over-pants. Quality is quite good. Nice deep zip closed front pockets are important since you can't reach your wallet or pockets.

They have belt loops, but I'll use trucker suspenders,
like I do with my chaps. Trucker suspenders only hook
in two places, on the sides. Nothing in back or in front.

I've been useing leatherup.com for a few years. The outlaw helmets are great. I've bought leather pants for $75 , some leather saddle bags for my 85 FXEF for $49. Heavy leather great quality. I always look there first. Great place for biker stuff at prices I can live with.
