What's up Jaxglide.
I will be home on Christmas Day and will be trying to figure this lowering thing out. I'm going to do it myself and I was wondering if the one you rode changed to Burley slammer shocks or did he do something different. I was thinking I might buy the Burley slammer kit but only use the springs for the front and use the factory shock with a 1inch lower block for rear. Not trying to slam my bike but take away a little height.
I was visiting in Indianapolis and test rode a new bike that they set up already. I have 3 buddies that installed the low lowering brackets on their SG. They all ride 2 up and don't complain but none actually tour. Here to Daytona is the extent of their touring. Personally I'm not sacrificing ride to get lower, I will work around it. And trust me, I am vertically challenged and would love to get lower. Progressive has some new 944s in an 11.5 inch but they were up front and told me it would be a harsh ride. I am off from Xmas eve until jan 5th if you need help or wanna ride.
