1994 Ultra rear brake.
Remove bag
Tie the brake Pedal
etc.
Remove cover, drain 50% of brake fluid
Remove caliper pin bolts
Lift caliper off of mounting bracket- this is where I can't get it off. Moves around but will not lift off.
Can't seem to figure out why it won't come off.
Any ideas?

Gotta squeeze the pads in against the pistons, long screwdriver works. Or pry the caliper against the pads to get them retracted.

Also I usually remove the caliper and bracket as a unit then clamp it in my vise to work on it.

Man was I getting frustrated. Last nite all I was thinking is about how much I like working on bike compared to cars, boats, my machines. No metric crap, lots of Allen head, guess I should have not waited till I was so old to learn about brakes. Kid goes to Votech so we did brakes on the old lady's BMW, her Chevy pickup, so I figured no problem. Hour and a half to get it off. Only 15 minutes after your help, trying to figure out what to pry against was the hardest part, next time no problem.
Thank you so friggin much.
Can't wait to get kid from school and head to Nicks and go shopping.
