Decided to give them a try and here is what I know so far.
The initial quality of the seat isn't bad. The stitching is pretty good and looks good. It is slightly smaller than stock. It shows more frame and side cover at the top, doesn't come as far up the tank as the stock touring seat. I have been on it for a couple of weeks but the longest ride has been about 100 miles. Comfort is good for a seat that isn't broken in yet.
The backrest is a different story. Everything mounted up as it should but... With the rest adjusted all the way back where I need it the seat won't mount properly. Trying to squeeze the uprights to get the backrest into the mount is almost impossible. I managed to bugger up the paint enough that they don't want it back so I guess it will be swap meet material later on. Maybe it will fit better on a 2008 and up glide, but not so great on my 07 .
Overall, the seat is okay but in my experience the backrest is crap.
Hope this helps anyone who is considering one of these and on the fence about them.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. Sounds like a classic case of getting what you pay for and folks should look elsewhere. At least it wasn't a massive investment on your end.

It's definitely a case of getting what I paid for. My expectations weren't high so it's not that bad. The seat itself isn't bad, it's just not really good. It does suck about the backrest.
I'm thinking about having mean city cycles rebuild my stock seat to fit me.

Mean City did some work to my old Road King seat. They did a great job.
