And rough too, unrestored ! McQueen tried to buy the car when he was still alive but wasn't able to, reason unknown.

I wonder why McQueen is double clutching the car in movie. Showing off or loved the sound? Anyone.

I think that might have been the stunt driver in that scene. McQueen did a lot of driving in the movie but his stunt double drove the dangerous parts. That same stunt driver did the motorcycle jump in "The Great Escape".

Name was Bud Ekins close friends. McQueen personally asked him to be in filming of The Great Escape. Great trust between them.

Yep. Not many left in Hollywood.. Norris, James Caan, Stallone (First Blood), Sean Connery, Kirk Douglas still kickin at 103 and Eastwood. Some up and comers for legend status. The Rock, Vin Diesel ( Riddick) , Kaneau Reeves (John Wick)

Not typically a Ford car guy, but something about those Fairlanes. :banana
They were the Chevelle's red haired step brother but cool for a Ford.
