I noticed this afternoon that there is a clung noise when I accelerate very hard. I think it is in the transmission. It happens in all the gears. If I am easy on the throttle it doesn't do it. I haven't checked the oil yet. Does anyone think it could be that the oil level is just low?

The Sportsters had problems with the front drive sprocket nut loosening up. When that happens the sprocket can walk out far enough on the shaft that the splines start stripping out.

Thanks, I will check both of those suggestion. It is time for oil change anyway so I will change transmission while I am at it.
