Greetings Fellow Riders, I have been reading posts on the site for many months and have found solutions to several problems my bike has had in the past. This is my first post because this one has me stumped. I ride a 2003 XLH 1200 Sporty with 20,000 miles. About 2 months ago I replaced the engine and primary lubricants, adjusted the clutch cable, and adjusted the primary chain because it was a little loose. Just recently a weird sound started coming from the primary. It's not loud, just annoying. Sounds like a squirrel or a little like a mouse squeeking noise. It only happens when you disengage the clutch, (clutch lever in). It also only occurs if the bike is running. It occurs when the bike is in neutral or in gear, sitting still or moving. I usually only notice it at low speeds when shifting between 1st and 2nd, and coasting with the clutch disengaged. Any ideas? Thanks All.
