I am having problems with my 98 Softail staying running after warm up..It is not hard to start but it seems like it takes forever to get warmed up to run right...After I let it warm up and start riding it will spit and sputter and backfire through the exhaust...Once it gets past that stage it runs like a champ...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Dave....I am running Python 3 exhaust and i believe the jets are 48 and 165...I bought the bike used so I guess you know how that goes...nobody knows what was done to it...I just had carb work done and i am quite sure of the jset sizes.

I thought that 48 was was a bit to big also..i agree with the 45...I will try the 175 -180 primary and see how that goes...I had the carb worked on and I got about 175 miles to a tank then dropped to about 150 on the next tank...ohhh..it is a 5 gallon tank.
