Considering going to copper head gaskets on my evo 80 but I have no experience with them...ive heard good things but ive also heard you need to check the torque often...where as on a normal 3 plate you torque once and just double check after a few heat cycles and leave it after that...
Any one with good experience let me know pros n cons

Only on shovels and pans. Aluminum heads and cast jugs. More expansion on evo with aluminum jugs and heads.
So they are pretty trust worthy on newer motors?
I have no firsthand knowledge...... Copper is old school. New gasket technology has advanced x10 in last 10 years. Not sure if I'd use copper when graphite permeated gaskets are designed to allow bi-metal expansion with no I'll effects.

I can't say for sure.
We used copper Evo head gasks when they came to market, being touted as something prior unknown to mankind, about 20 years ago.
They hold the engine's compression fine, but weeped/leaked oil from the returns, even in spite of Permatex Copper-Coat, and also tried annealing them via a propane torch. Nope.
Cometic is THE gasket to use.
Tried them and didn't like it, never got a good seal. I now only use COMETIC gaskets for my shovelhead and evolution motors.
