75k miles. When's the last time you replaced the fuel filter ? You need to do a fuel pump pressure test to verify 55 to 62 psi pump pressure. Low pressure will produce the symptoms you described.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but, you mention having a backfire problem and that problem is in another forum (leaky intake seals). Did you ever figure that problem out ? I'm having that problem on a M8 right now, and can not figure it out!

IMO you need to start your own thread, you'll get a better response to your problem.
