thought I had a bad CKS (shows open circuit at connector...zero ohms)
bought a new one from Harley today and it shows open as well....I've been troubleshooting a backfiring problem (2002 Heritage Softail--EFI...75K miles, all stock) and everything I've read and everybody on here tells me I should get a resistance reading...are "bad, new" parts an issue with Harley?? I triple checked my meter and touching 2 pins is not that hard...I say this because I was told I probably did it wrong...also, don't think it makes any difference but I tested both on and off bike, and tested the new sensor (for continuity) as soon as I took it out of the bag...been told I should get ~1K resistance and +2v....yesterday with the old sensor, I got zero resistance, and ~1.5v...altho I would like to know about the backfiring (replaced intake seals), right now I would like to know about the sensor and open circuit.....thanks all
