Ok. How long should it take to receive custom paint OEM parts from HD?

I know it takes awhile to paint the part, and then ship it.

Just curious as to what the normal wait time would be?

Youre gonna be waiting awhile for custom paint. They do them in batches. Just depends when your paint scheme gets in the que.

They dont do one offs.

Back in '02 after my accident, it took about 2 months for a fairing and that was plain old vivid black.

So far I've been waiting 4 months.
Should have bought after market parts and just got them painted!

You could call around to some dealerships and check what might have on hand.
I worked at Motown HD and they have custom painted part in the shop.
Plus some have them displayed on the showrooms also.

I spent $1200 for a complete set of miscellaneous used OEM tins for my 2014 SGS on eBay, CL, and local. Had a local guy do an awesome custom paint job on it, inner fairing and all for $4000. I'll sell my older set of tins to offset the costs a bit too. Benefit to it this way is I got to stay on the road until the weekend when I did the tin swap.
