I found this in a storage bin with other motorcycle parts including some other custom HD parts that fit my ‘64 Duo-Glide FL. Do any of you recognize this chrome cover and where it goes? The only place I can find that has the correct bolt spacing is the rear master cylinder. The front bolt/floorboard stud is a square shoulder that looks like it may have fit in the front squared hole of this cover. What do you think?

My FIL developed dementia as he aged and would sometimes buy something that he already had previously bought. Sometimes he would go to swap meets or yard sales and buy anything that looked like it fit a motorcycle. Therefore, I have several random pieces of new and old custom chrome covers and pieces piled into crates, bins, and boxes for this bike. Some are obvious what they fit and where they go. Some are still in original packaging from J&P cycle and marked accordingly. I’m having fun figuring out the puzzle. As I decide on what I want to keep, or what I’ll need for this bike, I’ll be offering some of it for sale or trade in the near future. One thing is for sure…I have lots of aftermarket chrome 12v lights that I won’t be needing. I mean…it’s still a 6 volt system. Stay tuned.

By God, I'm in love, wow and is it in original paint yet?
It's Beautiful!

He bought it new and as far as I know, it’s original paint, but there’s evidence that it has been touched up. I found a little red overspray on bottom of the buddy seat and on some of the wires. BTW…I’m looking for someone who can recover the Buddy seat. Speedometer shows a little over 2k miles, but I’m sure it has more than that. I remember asking him and he said that he thought it had somewhere around 30k??? That said…he couldn’t read or write, so not sure if he knew exactly what the numbers meant.
