Decision Made: Bourbon Trail

Every other year we take a "guys only" trip. For 2015 we've made the decision to visit Kentucky and do the Bourbon Trail. We usually like to rent a house and use that as a base point for daily rides. It looks like Taylorville, Ky is about smack in the middle of the distilleries listed on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail website.

Anyone know about places to rent for a week in that area? We prefer renting a house instead of doing the hotel thing. Save bundles on food (and get better food!) as well as lessen the pack load by having access to washer/dyer.

Monzie, living in Louisville I still have never toured the bourbon trail, but I do ride those areas some. And I see your point about centrally located Taylorsville, KY. But if you don't already know, Taylorsville really is a small burg. I'm not saying you can't find a house to rent there, but your chances of getting something will be a lot better in Bardstown, KY.
Sounds like fun, I will have to check out that too. thanks for a good idea for an excuse to ride and be gone for a few days. LOL!

Your best bet is to check with a local real estate company about houses to rent in that short term rental
I hate riding with a hangover. Don't forget your B1.

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking in the overall area. Would rather have something located somewhat central to the circle of distilleries, but realize that may not be possible (specially if a hot tub is a deal breaker, and for some of us I think it might be).
