Dumb Question...

...but would like the view of others here anyway.

We all know about "the wave", the acknowledgement of the other bikers on the road.
Do you give the wave to the Can Am (trike with 2 wheels in the front) riders?

I got a wave from a Can Am rider the other day but did not return it.

What say you?

I will wave to anybody that waves to me, on or off anything they are operating. That's just good manners.

It's your choice as to who you choose to wave to first.

It's just a wave, dude. It ain't a marriage proposal.

I also wave, don't care if I get a wave back from a stickup azzhat.
Depends on my mood....

I do wave sometimes but not all times simply because here in La. there a too many bike on the road. If I had to wave at everyone I might as well leave my hand up..lol. Lots of bikes on the road here. I wouldn't wave not because it was a spider but because i'm waved-out although I do think they are girly and its not a good look for dudes to ride them.

I'm not cool, no "low hand" wave for me. I give almost everyone a big old "Howdy, how ya doing" Gomer Pyle wave. Probably makes them wonder WTF?
People on the porch, in the yard, etc. are likely to get one!
And the Po- Po too, but more discrete. :thumbsup
i always wave. it doesn't matter what they are on or in. if they wave to me, I wave back.
I'm country, I wave at everyone. Riding in cities cause my arm to cramp up.

Here ya go. Save your energy.

That's awesome! I can stick that on my windshield and just hi to everyone including pedestrians.
I wave if I'm paying attention.

same here....except for leos. I give them a nod...."yes, I see you, I know you see me".

I wave at most anyone riding anything but a car or moped. I also tend to wave first. Most wave back & the tuff guys keep there nose in the air. No chip on my shoulder. Also give a nod to the man.
As long as I see them in time and have a free hand I will wave. Don't care what they are riding. Not upset if they don't wave back. However, on an Interstate or other divided highway where traffic going the other way is quite a distance from the lanes going in my direction I may not wave, just depends.

I think waving is a sign of friendship and I am (usually) a friendly guy.

I did not know that anybody gave a nod to the man.
I have always tried to ignore them and hoped they would do the same to me.

I usually wave at anyone who waves first. Give a nod to the "fuzz" with the exception of one time I met a hi—po and I looked down and was about 20 over the limit so I gave him a big Ole wave and he waved back and kept goin. So, yeah, I wave.
Used to tho, if I waved and didn't get one back they got the California howdy. Getting too old to have to back much of that up anymore....... JS
