Hi,

the Harley catalog lists two different pegs for the Dyna, number 49002-98 and 49019-95.
49002-98 is adjustable in height.
Does anyone have any experience with the pegs?
Should they be adjustable?
Why are there also non-adjustable ones? (increased stability?)
Are both enough beyond the brake pedal and gear shift?
Thank you !

49002-98 states it cannot be used with a front engine guard, and will also fit 1991-1994 models. The installation instructions show it has 2 holes that use an inset set screw (not a bolt/nut) to allow for adjustment. (Loosen the nut, put the set screw in whichever hole you prefer, then tighten it back down.)

While I don't have experience with these, or any other highway pegs, the set screw method makes me question their reliability and safety. If it's not tightened down enough when installed, gets loose over time, wears down over time, or a multitude of other possibilities... You don't want to be cruising down the highway, have one come loose, and possibly lose control of your bike.

If you NEED adjustability, I'd check for other options. If you'd prefer to set it and forget it, I'd go with the 49019-95.
