Hey all,

I installed an easy-clutch kit in my girl's 2001 RKC...

What's a good oil to put in the primary case and on the other side?

How much do I fill the primary side?

Thanks!

You have the mentality to install an EZ-Pull clutch kit, but not use the search function?

Primary, or the "Other side"? (Assuming trans??)

How much oil in the primary?

Do you own a manual?

Have you read any threads here? :eek7

OK.... you got me.....

Trans:
About 24 OZ. I LOVE the Redline Heavyweight Shock Synthetic oil.

Synthetic. Pink in color. Smooth shifts. (Got it from JEGS. $9.00 a QT.) You can run 20W50, but heavier oil makes difference, as does synthetic. Trust me..... Smoooooother.

Primary: A qt of 20w50 organic, synthetic or whatever you want. AS long s it does NOT have "Energy Conserving" in the API circle. No additives to make the clutch slip. I use Royal Purple, 20w50. Noticed no difference from Mobile-1 20w50. Noticed no difference from Dextron ATF............. (Yes...you heard me right.)

A quart of anything without the "Energy Conserving" label works fine. Synthetic allows more time between changes.

If it has this: (Energy Conserving, Lower lable.)

BAD for CLUTCH.

Thanks Dave!

So the tranny side is gear oil and the primary side is basically regular motor oil (ie - Mobile-1 20w-50)?

That's good to know. I want to stay away from the dealership if I can to save some cash...ya know.
