2001 electra gluide. The noise appears to be coming from the bottom of the motor. The noise is almost like a scraping hit and miss at idle and a high rpm. The bike runs like it always has. I have replaced the cam plate and oil pump with no success. Any help would be great. thanks

Is it the left side? Right side? Is it charging ok? Could it be something in the stator? Could it be a broken primary chain tensioner? Anything metallic on the oil plug?

The sound is coming from both sides of the motor, more so from the bottom Left. Charging appears fine. Everything in the oil pump side is new. The primary tensioner shows no wear and is in spec. When I changed the oil I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. -Thank you

Worn Cam Chain Tensioner. Doesn't sound like a compensating sprocket.

When I replaced the cam plate it had a new cam chain tensioner on it. The old one had little to no wear.
