Well i just bought another one its a 2000 Fatboy so hears thing i like the sound of the straight pipes so is there a way that i can paint them black right now they are blueing near the cylinders and have some black crap on them?

Country stores used to sell stove paint for wood stoves.

There also used to be a spray paint labeled VHT or UHT for painting headers and exhaust manifolds.

Go to your local John Deere dealer, they have super high temp. heat resistant paints.

Thanks there is a John Deer close by I will check it out would 200 grit sand paper or should I go lower?

VHT paint is still available in most auto parts stores.
