I have been told you can't test voltage regulators and I have seen videos of how to test them so forgive me if I'm confused after too many shots to the head without a helmet.
I now am the proud owner of 3 brand new expensive HD regulators (about $170/each) that I was told to replace before I figured out my brand new main wiring harness had the plug to the regulator on backwards from the factory. This happened quite a while ago but I kept the regulators and finally decided to risk the possible humorous responses in hopes of getting a definitive answer to the question are the voltage regulators destroyed from current going in the wrong way?
Thanks for any useful answers based in reality and knowledge as well as any answers that make me laugh even if it is at my own lack of intelligence regarding voltage regulators, electricity, and a lot of other sh*t.
