Pipes, high flow air cleaner, cam. Re-jet carb.
Probably under a grand +\- for parts.

have pipes and air cleaner, was told to do head and cams for best results,is this true and if so what camsThe RB Racing pipe will cost him close to a grand & make 10-15 less hp than a comparable 2-1.
My vote- Cycle Shack slipons, SE or Ness Big Sucker a/c, re-jet & a mild cam like a SE 204, Crane 300-2, Andrews 21 or 26, or S&S 509.
Could have saved us some typing if you had said what you already have done.have pipes and air cleaner, was told to do head and cams for best results,is this true and if so what cams
The cams listed in my 1st response are all very nice bolt-in cams.have pipes and air cleaner, was told to do head and cams for best results,is this true and if so what cams
ride solo 98 percent of timeThe cams listed in my 1st response are all very nice bolt-in cams.
As far as heads, depends on what you want. Bean at Big Boyz does a nice clean up/street port for short $. WFO Larry & Kirby at Vee Twin Performance do a very nice street port for right at $500. If you do the labor yourself, you can do the cams & heads for under $1K & have one hell of a strong running bike.
We can help and we are just up the road from you.Looking to get a little more out of my 2003 carbed 88 ci fatboy..Not looking to do a big bore just looking to get a lil extra umph for around a grand or so...Suggestions,,,thanks
Agreed, I had the Andrews 21 cam installed , best $ I spent on my fatboy. Really woke up the motor, runs great souds great. We'd suggest a Crane 300, or an Andrews 21 for a plug/play upgrade in that machine.
