Hello everyone,

I just bought my first Sportster. It is an '07 1200 Sportster XL. This is also my first bike. I am excited to start riding, but there are a couple of things I need to change first. I want to convert the handlebars back to a more stock height. I've seen some handlebars for sale, but I am lost on what cables and lengths to buy.

I also want to convert it back to mid controls from forward controls. I see a lot of kits to go the other way. But not much to go back to mid.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I believe they are 12", and I know that the previous owner did change all the cables to longer braided cables.

Where are you located? If you’re close I would trade you for all the cables and lines and stuff and give you my factory bars. I’m getting ready to put my 12” bars on my bike in a few weeks and need to get the cables and lines for it.

I am in Miami. I would love to be able to trade you the parts.

I've tried to ride it, but I'm short and the tall bars just feel really awkward to me. I'll definitely feel much more comfortable riding with the shorter bars.

Yeah, I am a new rider, and that's why I am doing those conversions. I just need to find those mid controls now
