FL Wheels, what fits what

Ok, let's see if I got this straight, please someone correct me if I'm wrong. From 1984 thru 1999, front and rear wheels use 3/4" axles, so wheels will have 3/4" ID bearings. From 2000 through 2007 front axle size went up to 1", but rears were still 3/4". 2008 and up used metric axles, 25mm I think. So if I want to put some 2001 Road King wheels on my '89 FL, the rears should bolt right up, but on the fronts, I'd either have to get 3/4" bearings or a 3/4' to 1" sleeves to take up the difference. Now I know the fronts have different inside diameters, but are the outside diameters of these bearings the same. Does anyone know what the OD's are? Thanks for any help or clarification.
84-99 = 3/4" bearings. Timkin, tapered roller bearings, with race and seal.

2000-2007=1" bearings. Sealed bearings. Double ball bearings.

2008-up= 25mm bearings. Sealed bearings. Thinner than the 1" bearings. Single ball, not double.

3/4" and 1" bearings are identical outside diameter and width, however, the inside preload sleeve will need to be replaced and you'll need the guts for a 3/4" SEALED BEARING, because 99-down are tapered Timkins and a whole different design.

You can place the 2000-2007 wheels on your FL, HOWEVER, since the 3/4" wheels have smaller rim lips at the rotors, you'll need to replace your rotors as well, as they won't fit over the 2000-2007 wheels.

The other issue, is 89 FL has a large, 5-bolt rotor, which you'll need to replace anyway, with a 2000-up rear wheel.
