Hey guys its been awhile since I posted anything I hope everybody is well my question is on my 1981 wideglide I have came to the point of a new chain and sprocket I recently had the front sprocket changed I am running a 51 tooth back sprocket and I hit 3000 rpm at around 65mph I would like to run a lower rpm at this speed I was thinking of going to a 49 tooth is this a good idea also would a 112 link chain be good enough thanks for any help you guys are great

Go to RB racing's website and click on calculators. They have a calculator for chain-link and another one for sprocket diameter. I would probably only drop your RPMs to around 2800.

Thanks I will check that out im not looking for a big difference I like my low end just looking for a little more out of my top end especially for cruisen with only having a 4 speed

I've run 23/49 with my shovel when it was stock.It pulled well out of the hole and cruised at 75 nicely.
