Yup, what they said. You never know what kind of contaminants/moisture have made it's way into the fluids. Run the new oil for 1000 miles, then change again. Then start your normal oil change intervals when the odo reads 5000 miles.

When I found this bike, I wasn’t really looking to buy. Just chanced on it in FB marketplace. I paid what think is a good price, but with only 744 miles, it’s like new. It was specially ordered and completely decked out. I have the receipts for over $5000 of upgrades. I can’t even find anything I might want to add. It has been in storage since 2019. Tires are new and battery is good. The only dead battery was in the key fob.

In my opinion the tires have only 744 miles on them so what if they are 8 years old. I would look them over thoroughly then wear them out checking closely every pre ride. I just got 6,000 miles out of a 18 YO tire.

Tires are new.......
FWIW Tires can not only dry rot outside in. Which is obviously detectable. They can dry rot inside out. Which is not detectable until loss of air pressure. Either slowly or catastrophically.

When you say "new". Do you mean they are the originals?
Even with just over 700 miles on them, 8+/- years old is NOT new.

Tires were new in 2019 when he upgraded the wheels, so I’m thinking they are good for a while.

I can give you a ballpark figure, way less than $20k, way less.
You got a good deal, 2015 SG go for about 18K to 20K depending on if it is a SG or an SGS, give or take, what matters is if you are happy with the deal, usually add-ons and customizations dont add value to the bike, I say you got a good deal especially if you like the mods. By the way it didn't happen without pictures.

I found a 2015 ultra last year with 7800 miles on it. Bike had not been ridden since the po passed in 2019. Heres what I changed.
Fluids - all 3 holes
Both tires- front had dry rot. Rear did not but bike rode bad. 2 Tires fixed that.
Clutch fluid- fluid measured high moisture
(brake fluid measured good so did not change it)
Air filter
Spark plugs
Updated version of radio
Key fob batteries

Encountered my first problem. O rings in the fuel check valve. Stated leaking fuel, when I removed fuel line where it connects to check valve, the o rings had pretty much crumbled. Had to remove in tiny pieces. I did rebuild/repair on the check valve. Fixed the problem for less than $20.
