. The reason I noted it... Sold a bike about two years ago and the buyer showed up with a cosmetic beanie and no eye protection or gloves. He had convinced me on the phone he was an experienced rider. We exchanged funds, title, etc. and I watched him start off down my driveway. Suddenly the bike came to a skidding stop...

He asked, "When did they move the brake to the right?"



He thought the brake pedal was the shifter. A cold rain was starting as he kept it in first gear down the driveway. No eye protection, no gloves, he said he was fine... I kept scanning the news that night for a bike accident but I guess he made it the 50 miles home!

Maybe he used to ride a 73 Sporty with a right side shift.
