Oh the advantages of two wheels! I can relate to this jam... rented an E-Glide out of Houston several years ago and wanted to see Port Aransas. Not knowing what I could and could not do on the bike and seeing the loooong line of cars, I turned around, never going to see the beaches there. :(

Ahhh... a ferry. I thought there was some kind of toll or drawbridge creating the jam. Must be a wide enough body of water to make building a bridge an expensive proposition. Unfamiliar with the area!

Actually it is not wide, it is just the intercoastal cannal. I think the reason there is no bridge is except at certain time of the year there is almost no wait, I also think that the town of Port Aransas helps support it for a tourist attraction kinda thing.

It's a short ride but long enough to let the kids uot of the car and feed the seagulls. However, if on a bike you can't get off the bike due to the possiable rocking of the ferry
