I was riding up a twisty country road hill and had cranked on the throttle enough that it threw me back in the seat a bit. My left grip came off in my hand. (I did manage to not soil my pants.) I tried a glue recommended by the guy at the auto store, and it didn't last a week. I stopped by a biker clothing store for something and griped to the owner. He sold me a tiny little tube of "grip glue" .I cleaned the handle bar very well with acetone and let it dry then the "grip glue" it has held tight ever since. Sorry I do not remember the brand but it did say for handle bar grips right on the label. I heard it may also be sold at some places that sell a lot of bicycle accessories.
