All of the 1 1/4" diameter bars that I have installed (3 bikes) had 1" diameter clamping area and used 1" dia. grips. They are not made like conventional bars, being of one tube bent then plated. They are 1" center straight bar welded to 1 1/4" bar that is bent to make the curves. Then another straight pipe is welded on the ends to take the control switches, parches and grips.

Otherwise the total cost of doing a bar swap to 1 1/4" from a stock 1" would be crazy expensive in replacing all of the components that are attached to the bars. The only part of 1 1/4" handlebars that is "FAT" is the are you can see. All the rest is really 1" diameter as stock.

No panic!

Amazon said they are 1 1/4 at the clamping area so you would need different risers that are 1 1/4. Oddly, Amazon bundles stuff for you that you might need. When I looked at them they bundled risers with those bars but they were 1 inch. Do a search for 1 1/4 risers, lots of different styles. At the same time consider changing to the urethane bushings since you will be changing out the risers. Or go with a different bar like 1/2 ton said with the reduced down areas at the grip and clamp area.
