took the Rod to the local (Sierra Vista HD) dealer today to schedule my 1000mile service. they were able to just squeeze me into the lineup without appointment got switched to the synthetic oil -- BUT

on friday night the front header come detached from the engine, one of the studs completely broke off. bike will stay at the shop for about a week while the parts and warranty catch up

saw 3 VRSCDXs also in the service bay, two non ABS 08s and an 07. an 08 AW also showed up. this would be the most V-rods i've seen in under one roof to this point. highlight was an 1125r on the showroom floor -- just that beautiful in the flesh

actually it wasn't so loud as my old scooters. it sounded more like my bike leveled up from sewing machine to motorboat (or crazy frog, hehe)

well, got an update from the service tech.

can't replace just the header stud. they're now waiting on a whole new cylinder head to come in.

back to waiting again
