Im rebuilding the top end of my engine because the Bike sat around for about 2 years and im guessing the gaskets dried up and at turning it back up the gaskets blew. Now this is my delema, I have a Arle ness rocker box and im trying to find the gaskets for this. Cannot find them anywhere besides Arle ness which is super expensive. Also it would be nice if someone could tell me how much I have to torque the screws after i put everything back together. Thanks

if you do not have one get a harley owners man that is specific for your bike they are worth their weight in gold I promise, it is what the mechanics use at the dealer I have one for all our bikes

Gasket replacement

I have been through many bikes that have sat for many years. Currently one sat since 1985 and one since 1996 . When I finally got them up and running, Not a Leak. Sometimes a gasket will in fact dry up a little but will reseal after a short time. So dont go replacing anything even if it is a slow weep cause it may very well cure itself.
