Headlight bulb?

11518 Views 99 Replies 26 Participants Last post by  Rockhead261
I was wondering what headlight bulb people are running. I currently have the stock bulb in my 2013 Street Glide and want to run something brighter/clearer, but don't want to upgrade to the Rushmore system or install a light bar. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Well , you could "SEARCH" it or just google it!
I like the Wagner 80-100 myself...but that's just me..

The above link is all you need. I and 2stangs8689 have these kits in our bikes and they're ungodly bright. Worth every penny!

Or, I can sell you a Kuryakyn Phase 7 cheap if you'd like. =)
I vote with AndyG, but I purchase at a different place. Many, many suppliers for HID conversions. Google is your friend! Run them in all three bikes and two cars.
The one I linked is completely plug and play. Takes an hour or less if you're good at removing and reinstalling the fairing.
Gonna investigate those socal lights...

Seriously, best money I've spent on my bike. Ask 2stangs8689 as well.

You can buy the cheap kits, yes, but these are proven to hold up on a Harley, and are true plug and play.

You get what you pay for.

I will say this, that riding at night only makes me half as nervous now, as it lights the road up like riding in daylight. Phase 7 isn't close to these things for light output.
Thanks for the info guys. Just placed my order for the SoCal HID Kit.
I have the SoCal- HID's on my Ultra and love them. Bright even in daylight.

You won't regret it. I do hope you realize they have different kits for street glides though. The CVO models apparently have a dual bulb. If you have just a plain old SG, you need the single bulb kit.

Yeah, I almost made that mistake!

I look forward to seeing your approval of this product. You seriously will love the light. Especially if you do lots of night riding like I do.
For the SoCal kit, which wattage are you guys running, 25 or 50?
I put a Truck Lite LED in my slim. Low beam is so bright it makes paint melt off street signs. Fit perfect in a 7" shell.

I am with you on that question, I was planning on buying the Phase 7 kit ($350 @ Eastern Performance). But if I can get bright lights for a lower price I would like to know what wattage I should go with.

I also put the SoCal kit in my road glide, What a difference its made. I bought them to be seen by other drivers during the day, but riding at night is where they are really worth getting.
