07 dyna. All stock except exhaust. Started feeling it kinda pop and surge a bit to work the other day. Turned around and headed home and it got WAY worse. Can keep it running if I feather the throttle. Doesn't want pull off from a full stop. Backfiring out the throttle body. Changed plugs and wires. Checked internal fuel line, fuel pump still sounds strong. CPS tested with a magnet for voltage readout. Seems good.. idk where to go from here. Wanted to upload a video but apparently I cant..

Check it again......and the fuel filter while you're at it.

This sounds like the IAC is hanging up. Remove the AC and spray cleaner up into the pintle port until it runs clear and cycle the ignition several times while observing the IAC pintle movement.

My carbureted Vtwin Honda did that a few years ago and the cause was leaking carburetor to cylinder boots. I tightened the boot clamps 1/2 turn and it straightened right out.

Make sure your battery ground is secure to frame and battery. Also check hot wire connections. I just had a situation where my Dyna ground to frame connector broke completely in half and was vibrating against each piece just enough to get the bike started and get home, popped surged ect.

Was wondering as it has been a few days, did you find out the source of the problem?
