First off this is my first HD. I just bought a 2008 XL1200C with a D&D exhaust on it ( 11k miles), about two days ago, and so far i really really love it.

Been reading through some posts today and learned alot form the various problems that people have with thier rides.

Its nice to see so many contributors.

Starting my relationship with my 1200 with the engine/battery light intermittent problem, and this weekend im gonna try and source it out. Ill report my findings.

Anyway, i just wanted to say hi - Ill prob have some stupid things to say now and then, and something smart things, but much less frequently.

How about a bit more enthusiasm in your thread title?? LOL

Welcome aboard, you'll fit in just fine.

Good luck on the electrical gremlins. Start with the battery first, check the ground.

Born in Memphis, and grew up in an area known as Orange Mound ( google it, and youll learn a bit of trivia), but all my peeps are from New Orleans. No ones left in Memphis.

Moved to California in 77, and never left.
Sunshine and beautiful weather all year long mostly...

So i get to ride every day, and truthfully, havent missed many days since 77.
