I have a 2002 Roadking I've put 97000 miles on and it is starting to use about 2 to 3 ounces of oil per 1000 miles. I have only used Amsoil from day one .. Cam tensioners cam plate and oil pump at 54000 .. Bike runs strong and starts easy .. Wondering to cut down on oil consumption .. straight 50w?? A friend is running Lucas 50 on a softail that has 140000 on it and he said it has helped .. Comments

2-3 ounces per 1000 miles = 10-15 ounces in 5000 miles! That's not even half a quart low on a bike with almost 100k miles on it? I'd count my blessings and go for a ride my friend..........
