2 years ago I bought a 97 Softail custom that had been is storage for 13 years with just under 10,000 miles. Since then Iv’e managed to add 18,000 more miles to it. So far it’s been pretty trouble free till today... I notices oil leaking from the right front fork over the hard plastic seal cover. How bad a deal could it be ???

Not a big deal, sounds like it's just a fork seal.
Those can be changed out without too much trouble.
Good Luck!

I dunno, man -- that could mean the motor's about to blow up and all the paint' gonna peel off. I think you better sell that bike to me!
:D

I love that bike! Leaking fork seal shouldn't be a biggie. My buddy had to replace one on a 1-year-old Street Glide. Not bad for a '97 model.

Look up on youtube for delboy's garage.

He has a video that walks you through how to change the fork seals.

While you are at it, replace the slider tube bushings. Only about $5 ea. and no extra work.
