I've looked all, over hell's creation to find the primary oil capacity for my '98 Dyna Evo Convertible, 1337 cc / 81.5 cu-in.
I did see 1 1/2 QT, but want to verify that. This is my first time doing the three hole change, and got her all done except the primary (just drained so far).

Don't worry with whatever capacity is listed. Check the factory service manual and fill to the point indicated, however much it takes to that point is how much it takes.

Typically it's bike upright and level, fill until oil just reaches the clutch diaphragm spring. At least that's how it is for my Evo Softail, not sure if Dynas were the same:

I did more checking after you showed me this, and found exactly what you indicate. Filled to the lower lip where you indicate the lubricant level.
So, now I've got my first 3-hole oil change under my belt, and replaced the jiffy stand. I'm sure I saved a few hundred doing this stuff myself. It's a good feeling! 🔧

1 full quart,,plus 8 more oz’s. About a 1/2” below the derby cover hole is full. Remember,, the bike needs to be straight up on a stand.. 👍🍺😎

Forget about how many ounces, just fill to the outside diameter of the clutch shell.

This level is the same for all big twins since mid 1985.

Sounds like way to much.. maybe he means 1 1/2 quarts.. I’d say 1 1/4 quarts. 38 to 42 oz’s.
