ID this frame!!!

Just picked up this frame planning to build a chopper. Can't find VIN number. Any idea what I got here?

Prior to a certain year they didn't put serial numbers on the frame. I think that was in the 70's, very early on that they started.

That frame could be from all sorts of bikes. I'm going to guess late Pan, early Shovel.
Started out as a swing arm Shovelhead frame. Hardtail added, seat post and backbone modified to accept an Evo style engine. 1970 and later should have a raised boss on the neck with the VIN stamped on it. Pre 1970 frames did not have a VIN, but usually had a date code stamped on the top motor mount, but that location may have varied over the years.
