I have a 95 softail custom that I recently put on a new LED tail light...and the light will not work...wiring is the same as my old one, with the two wires and a third ground wire to the frame. Is there something about the LED light that I am missing, or can anyone give a suggestion to get it to work?

Have you tried connecting the LED light to another power source and verfiy the light is OK?

One wire is for park lamps.

One wire is for Brake lamps.

One wire is ground.

I'll tell you right now that the ground doesn't go to the frame, rather it goes through the entire harness, through the plug under the seat, back to a common ground.

If it's a frame ground, the something's been changed and it's not grounding.

Take a wire, and loosely run it from the negative side of your battery, then to the ground on the new light. Any changes?

If you have power at the park lamp wire and a good ground, then it appeares you have a bad light......
