I've run propane in a turbo diesel, more for a cleaner burn than power, but it's still a boost

you're still limited by the amount of oxygen in the cylinder, with a hard pushing diesel

even under high boost, if it's blowing black smoke like crazy there's way more fuel than oxygen,

so since the fuel is there, but not enough air, adding nitrous could instantly stop the black smoke

and greatly boost power, because suddenly there is lots more oxygen.

I will warn anybody that might try propane, but my turbo Mercedes

knocks hard if it gets even a whisp of propane

without boost being up at least a little. it makes no sense to me at all,

if propane is going to pre-ignite at all, why under low load and no boost? :think

I don't think old mechanical injected Mercedes is smart enough to run advance?

I used one hobbs switch set for 2 lbs and another at 5 lbs,

I could hear them click almost at the same time.

Needs to be a very low bleed, high levels of propane will knock, I hear.

Whoosh.
