I purchased a used 06 XL1200L and according to a specification sheet on the 1200L, there is some type of "fuel level warning" as being standard equipment in the insturmentation. I recently ran the tank out of gas and switched over to the reserve to continue, but there was no indication of low fuel that I saw. Does any one know what or where the "fuel level warning" is, if there is one? I don't have an owners manual, I'm sure it would be in there if I had one.
Thank you

alank... Not up to speed that much on the XL's but is there a fuel injection version of the 1200L in addition to your carbed 1200L? Typically low fuel level warning lights come with fuel injection models (there is no reserve), and with carbed air/fuel delivery bikes when you hear the bike stumble (that's your fuel level warning!)) you can switch to the reserve.
