I put on a 1" lower kit on my 2005 XL and somehow while trying to get the bolt into the hole while lining up the shock, I bunged the threads up. I went to Denaults ( who carry every bolt and grade possible) and got a chrome allen head bolt. Same size. But there was no grade marking on the original torx head bolt and the allen head has none. It does have YFS embossed on it. Should that bolt be a grade 8 or at least 5 for safety? I don't want a broken shock bolt while going 70 on the superslab.

It's a grade 5 min. or grade 8.
Yeah, I went to HD and got 2 new bolt, washer and nuts just to be safe. $21 is cheap insurance.

The bolts are 1/2 in 20 x 21/2 button head. They are grade 5 minimum. Washers and lock nuts to match.

Almost any hardware store would have them. Maybe 5-6 bucks total. Would not be torx, but what the hell.
