Lowered my SGS

Just recently completed lowering my SGS and love the stance and the ride. The front was lowered two inches with the progressive replacement springs and it handle like a sport bike now. Excellent. Still a great ride but just Firm. I lowered the rear only one Inch with the burly lowering block. Perfect stance. I can sit on the the seat and have my feet flat on the ground now. I'm 5'7. I like the look but the Burly shocks make me worry about a really rough ride from everything I've heard and read. The Progressives 944 Ultra Lows are longer and even they say their ride is not as smooth as factory.

I'm looking forward to an review after you have put some miles on it.
Looks great, but a long ride is gonna make you think twice.
I've done A lot of riding and it was on sport bikes and this ride still is better than what I've been use to! The bike rides great. The rear is stiff and not as plush as before by adding lowering block but I soften up the factory setting and have ridden the last two days with great reviews. The front is really better with the progressive springs. The front is more responsive with lowering spring, I could replace rear shocks and get a better ride than stock but I am very satisfied with ride quality now. I will continue to researching rear springs and if I can get the ride height I like with the plush ride of stock I will replace rear shocks.

Being in Florida helps, as you don't see the crappy roads like the rest of the north.

Looks good Hulk. Glad you are back in town and the weather is cooperating
Looks good. Enjoy for the rest of us
Have you had any lean angle problems?
That's awesome, I also want to lower my rear only but really afraid on longer rides it will be too stiff. Looks nice bro and I can not wait to get back on mine.

No I haven't had any issues. I love to lay a bike over on its side also.

How tuff was it tearing the front apart for the springs. I also have to lower 2 inches.
Spring swap isn't bad at all. Did mine in about 3 hours and others have done it quicker. Take your time with a service manual and all is good. I rented a 1.375" wrench for the caps. Cost me $7.

Looks great! I have considered lowering mine
By the way your chopped tour pack looks good also. Your bike looks sweet. Its 9 degrees here in Ohio and I honestly don't think I can take much more of it !
